Splash

This inquiry space provides a student activity on bouyancy, which teaches the students which type of materials and their density floats or sinks in different kind of fluids.
ILS

Learning By Critiquing, Sinking & Floating

This ILS starts with an orientation about sinking and floating and students will learn about density. Next they will learn to recognize good and bad experiments. They will use this knowledge to judge the experiments of Anna and Simon.

Find The Mistake - Which Way Do The Gears Turn

In this ILS students find out about gears. The ILS follows the 'Finding the Mistake' scenario. Three hypothetical characters state hypotheses about gears and the direction they turn. It is up to your students to find out who is right and who made a mistake.

Bond

Bond (from bonding in chemistry) helps students learn about solubility and precipitation of salts. Bond contains a database with thousands of salts and the most common ions, with information about solubility and colours. The setup is similar to what students would do in a real chemistry lab.

Splash: Virtual Buoyancy Laboratory

In Splash students can create objects from object properties like mass, volume, and density, and drop these objects in a tube filled with a fluid.
